We Screen-Shot-2015-07-12-at-5.17.37-PM1need scientists and other professionals in the STEM fields to view posters and costumes at the Colors of Nature exhibit on Friday, July 17, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Murie Building lobby. Girls going into 5th, 6th and 7th grades blended the art and science of color to create the costumes.

The College of Natural Science and Mathematics hosts the the Colors of Nature summer academy. It is a two-week program where girls interested in art explore the physics and biology of color. They then apply what they've learned to artistic endeavors including their final project — designing and making costumes.

If you would like to attend, RSVP to Colors of Nature summer academy director Laura Conner at ldconner@alaska.edu. For more information about the program, go to www.colorsofnature.org.
