Scientist to lecture on breast cancer, environment link

Sarah Dunagan, staff scientist for Silent Spring Institute, will present a free public lecture, “Breast Cancer: Environmental Links and Opportunities for Prevention,” Wednesday, May 26 at 6 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.
Dunagan will speak about scientific evidence suggesting that common chemicals found in the environment may contribute to breast cancer risk. Find out about opportunities for prevention and ways to reduce exposure to these chemicals.
The lecture is sponsored by Alaska Community Action on Toxics, the UAF Center for Alaska Native Health Research and Alaska Run for Women.
