Safety survey offers great incentive prizes

The UAF Environmental, Health, Safety and Risk Management department will conduct
an employee opinion survey this month to identify gaps in safety programs and enhance
the university's safety culture.
The survey, which will be distributed to employees via email, will kick off during
the week of March 21. To ensure the anonymity of responders, EHSRM has hired Opinions
Inc., a firm that specializes in employee opinion surveys. It will collect responses
and tabulate the results. No one at UAF will see specific answer forms.
Once the results have been compiled, UAF leadership and EHSRM will analyze and share
the results. The university expects to develop action plans to achieve safety objectives.
Opinions Inc. will select and provide EHSRM with random names of those employees who
have completed the survey. They will win one of several great prizes, including $25
and $50 gift cards and two Apple iPads.
