Rosemary Madnick receives NCURA recognition

Office of Grants and Contracts Administration Executive Director Rosemary Madnick was recently honored with the 2018 Helen Carrier Distinguished Service Award from the Region VI National Council of University Research Administrators. The award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to NCURA and to the field of research administration through leadership, presentations, teaching and mentoring.

Madnick currently serves as co-editor of the NCURA Magazine and as a member of the select committee on peer review programs for sponsored research. She has served in numerous other positions throughout the years.

“Rosie sets the bar for the rest of us on how to give back to the profession,” noted one colleague in her nomination. “She is a truly inspirational on what she has accomplished in her career and how she devotes herself to the pursuit of NCURA’s mission to advance the profession of research administration through education and professional development programs, the sharing of knowledge and experiences, and fostering a diverse, collegial and respected global community.”

Madnick has served as the OGCA executive director since December 2013. NCURA’s Region VI includes California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska.
