Road closure, restricted traffic at University, Geist and Johansen

Beginning May 19, east- and westbound traffic at the intersection of University Avenue,
Geist Road and the Johansen Expressway will be closed between Fairbanks Street and
Peger Road. The road will reopen in mid-August. Single-lane traffic for north- and
southbound motorists will be maintained on University Avenue, but drivers should expect
delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes. Turns will not be permitted at
the Geist Road/Johansen Expressway intersection.
Access will remain open to local businesses and residents. Bike and pedestrian access
will also be maintained through the construction zone.
