2012 Nanook Clay Classic Registration Form

Alaska Rifle head coach Dan Jordan announced that the Fourth Annual Nanook Clay Classic, sponsored by Frontier Outfitters, will be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Fairbanks Trap Club on the corner of Hagelbarger Avenue and Old Steese Highway. The event begins at 10 a.m., and registration opens at 9:30 a.m.

"We would really like to thank Frontier Outfitters and the Fairbanks Trap Club for all of their continued support," Jordan said. "This is the 4th year for the shoot and it keeps growing every year. We look forward to another successful event and turnout again this year."

The participation fee for an individual is $100, and per team, it's $500. Proceeds from the Clay Classic benefit the Alaska Nanooks men's and women's rifle program.

The team course of fire includes 50 shots of 16-yard singles (two rounds) and 10 pairs or 20 shots of doubles. There will also be a fun shoot for the longest shot.

"There are prizes for everyone that shoots and there will be some fun shoots as well," Jordan added. "It's a fundraiser, so we hope people will come out to have fun and not worry about whose the best or worst shot."

Entry forms can be e-mailed to head coach Dan Jordan (rifle.coach@alaska.edu) or Cassie Pinkel (cassiepinkel_ehs@hotmail.com) or dropped off at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Department of Athletics main office located in room 201 of the Patty Center. For more information, call 907-474-6811.
