The Alaska Nanooks are set to compete at the 2013 NCAA Men's and Women's Rifle Championship this weekend in Columbus, Ohio, where the Ohio State University is hosting the two-day event Mar. 8-9 at OSU's Converse Hall and French Field House.

A total of 48 competitors will compete in the championship, with 40 coming from the team rosters submitted by the eight teams selected to participate last week. The remaining eight shooters were selected based on their scores submitted from the designated qualifier.

Five shooters will represent the Blue and Gold as they seek to win their 11th overall team title and first since 2008. Alaska's shooters are senior Cole Bures (Odell, Neb./Electrical Engineering), juniors Michael Liuzza (New Orleans, La./Business Administration) and Dustin Chesebro (Laramie, Wy./Engineering) and sophomores Ryan Anderson (Great Falls, Va./Biology) and Mats Eriksson (Malung, Sweden/Business Management).

Live coverage, including online electronic targets and video, of the 2013 championship will be available on ncaa.com both days.
