Reynolds lectures on economics Feb. 16

Doug Reynolds, economics program director, is giving two talks in Anchorage Thursday, Feb. 16.



The first lecture, titled the Fall of the Soviet Union, will be held at noon at the BP Energy Center near New Seward Hwy and Benson Blvd.

The Soviet Union was a world super power with a vibrant economy and yet it fell. Find out why and what the implications are for our own economy. This lecture is based on Reynolds' book, Energy Civilization.

The second lecture will be on a possible natural gas pipeline option at 7 p.m., at the Westmark hotel in Anchorage.
