The panelists will be Helen Campbell of NetHope Crisis, Troy Bouffard of the UAF School of Management, Michael West of the UAF Geophysical Institute and John Lingaas of the National Weather Service. Campbell will moderate the panel. Their topic will be “Integration of scientific research with real-time emergency response: Collaboration that saves lives, internationally and in the Arctic.”

The salon will start with several 10-minute presentations by the panelists and end with 30 minutes of discussion. Coffee and tea will be served. Attendees are welcome to bring a quiet lunch.

IARC Research Salons are mind-opening intellectual discussions and community-building interactions moderated by an inspiring IARC member or a visiting scholar.
