Register for collaborative documents workshop
October 14, 2014
UAF eLearning and the UA Office of Information Technology are hosting monthly hands-on
activities exploring best practices in technology and education.
Registration for the Oct. 23 session, “No More Paper Zombies: Documents and Spreadsheet
for the Living,” is now open and is limited to 16 participants. Email Gary Bender
at gabender@alaska.edu to sign up.
In this session, faculty and staff will learn how Google Drive tools can facilitate
dynamic projects using documents, spreadsheets forms and more. The tools in Google
Drive make it easier than ever to create connected, collaborative work that reaches
beyond the document into the living and ever-changing world of information.
The workshop will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in 319B Bunnell. Pizza will be provided.
These monthly sessions will present faculty with new ideas for the classroom, whether
teaching face-to-face, online or some combination of both. The next workshop will
be on Nov. 20 and will focus on citations and plagiarism.
Faculty and staff who attend these trainings will be given preference for iTeach,
CITE Fellows and other UAF eLearning programs.
