Registration is now open for an adult art workshop on Wednesday, April 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the University of Alaska Museum of the North. Local artist Gail Priday will instruct participants on painting still life panels from observation.

The workshop will cover the basics of color, composition and light. No experience is needed. Painters of all levels are welcome.

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. Registration is $50 for museum members and $55 for non-members, and includes materials and light refreshments.

Priday has taught in the University of Alaska Fairbanks art department and works in the museum’s education department. Her exhibit, “Northern Forest,” is featured in the Café Gallery at the UA Museum of the North.
