Register for BRIGHT Girls high school summer academy

Applications are being taken now for BRIGHT Girls, a two-week summer program for high
school girls.
Participants will work at the elbows of scientists to explore the biology and habitat
of salmon. Expect to wade in rivers, take samples, hike, boat, work with computers
and digital images, and have a lot of fun. Teams will complete mini-research projects and present
the results to the public.
The Fairbanks academy is a day-only program and will take place from May 30–June 10
on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Applications close April 15. The program
is open to girls who will be in grades nine through 12 in fall 2016.
