Red Green, the star of the eponymous television show on KUAC/AlaskaOne television, will appear in his live, one-man show Sunday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Hering Auditorium in Fairbanks.

The aptly titled “Wit & Wisdom” show features Red Green, aka Steve Smith, from the mythical Possum Lake. He is the leader of a small town’s miscreants and misfits who make up the Brotherhood of the Possum Lodge. Red is married to Bernice, who never appears but is an ever-present force. And Red has no children, just a goony nephew, Harold, and a TV program that lumps a fishing show and a fix-it show with a men's advice program. Duct-tape is featured prominently, due to Red’s tendency to take shortcuts.

Red Green will sign copies of his new book, “How to Do Everything,” Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Big Ray’s Alaska Outfitters on 2nd Avenue. Tickets to the show are also available there, two for a $100 pledge to AlaskaOne. Tickets will also be available at the Hering Auditorium Box Office one hour before the show.

KUAC/AlaskaOne and Mace & Trudy’s Acoustic Adventures are producing the show. 3-M is the main sponsor, covering most of the costs so that all proceeds benefit KUAC/AlaskaOne.
