Publishing workshop

Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend two presentations March 9 by Robert
K. Doe, a senior publisher with Springer. Doe will share information on how to publish
a scholarly
book and how to write for journal publication. Doe will present a variety of options,
practical tips and more, based on his experience as an author, editor and publisher.
"Writing for Book Publication" will be presented at 10 a.m. March 9. "Writing for
Journal Publication" begins at 4 p.m. March 9. Both presentations take place in room
417 of the Akasofu Building.
Springer is a leading global scientific publisher of books and
journals. In the science, technology and medicine sector, the group
publishes more than 2,500 journals and more than 6,500 new books per
year, according to Doe.
