February 5, 2021

University Relations

The Pub will reopen at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11. It will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30-10 p.m., with an eye toward increased hours and days of operation as the semester progresses and demand warrants.

For the safety of patrons and staff, The Pub has been outfitted with Plexiglass shields on the main bar and each table, which are spaced at least 10 feet apart. Most tables seat one to two patrons, with a few tables that can seat four. We will be operating at a reduced occupancy load of 25%, or 36 total combined patrons and staff. We are not currently taking reservations.

Patrons will be expected to wear a mask in accordance with university policy whenever they are not seated and should bus their own tables for everyone's health and protection. Additional hand sanitizer dispensers and sanitizing wipe stations have been added, and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.

We will have a reduced menu until additional hours and days of operation become approved. (Don't worry, you can still get nachos!). Patrons will be required to bring their Polar Express card (university ID) along with their regular ID for entry; you must be 21 or older to enter. While the Pub's regularly scheduled entertainment will also be limited, we hope to be able to provide more later in the semester.Despite the challenges of the past year, The Pub remains true to its mission of providing a fun, relaxed, and inclusive atmosphere and safe-drinking space to the university community! Please follow The Pub on social media for updates. See you there!
