Powers will discuss university at Fairbanks chamber meeting

University of Alaska Fairbanks interim Chancellor Mike Powers will speak to the Greater
Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 19 at noon at the Carlson Center. Powers will
provide an update on the current budget situation and upcoming priorities for the
university.
The following week, interim Vice Chancellor for Research Larry Hinzman and Vice Chancellor
for University and Student Advancement Mike Sfraga will discuss Alaska's strategic
positioning in the Arctic. That talk will take place during the chamber's noon meeting
Jan. 26.
