With just weeks to go before competitors and judges arrive in Fairbanks for the Alaska International Piano-e-Competition, tickets for individual performances are now available for purchase online.

Ten days of competition take place between June 29 and July 12, providing ample opportunity to enjoy world-class music during the busy Alaska summer. Ticket prices range from $15 for a first-round ticket to $40 for a ticket to the award ceremony and concert. Discounts for children, seniors and active-duty military are available.

Different performances are optimal for different viewers. Students and teachers will find the low cost, variety of competitors and breadth of music in the first round a good fit for their needs. Music lovers and symphony goers may prefer the final rounds of competition on July 7, 10 and 11, which feature solo recitals, chamber music performances and concertos with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra from each of the five finalists. The drama and tension of the award ceremony on July 12 can’t be understated, with a final concerto performance featuring the winner of the competition and the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra.
