The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host two free public Wintermester lectures Jan. 10 and Jan. 14.
On Friday, Jan. 10, Steve and Heather Brice of Ice Alaska fame will speak about the creative process of designing ice sculptures.
On Tuesday Jan. 14, Tiffany Ricci, clinical dietician at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, will discuss dietary changes that can help get rid of wintertime blues. This lecture is sponsored, in part, by the UAF Cooperative Extension Service and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
Both lectures will be held at 7 p.m. in the Murie Building Auditorium on West Ridge. Free parking is available in the museum lots. See attached flier for more details or visit www.uaf.edu/summer
