Office for Civil Rights in Fairbanks and Bethel next week

The Office for Civil Rights is conducting a proactive compliance review of the University of Alaska system under Title IX of the Patsy T. Mink Education Opportunity Act of 1972. Title IX prohibits sex discrimination in federally funded universities.

OCR will conduct student focus groups in Fairbanks Oct. 6–7 and in Bethel Oct. 10.

Please encourage students to attend student focus groups and open office hours. If students are unable to attend in person, they are welcome to contact OCR directly to set up a telephonic interview. Contact information is included below.
