Dining Services made several changes over the summer.

  • A new dining contractor, Chartwells, began on July 3.

  • Beginning in October, Pita Place will be at West Ridge Cafe, located within the Arctic Health Research Building, rather than Wood Center. Fairbanks Market, within the Wood Center food court, now includes Alaska Grill (grill items) and Southern Tsunami (sushi).

  • Campus Cache at the Moore-Bartlett-Skarland complex has been remodeled to brighten and expand the space.

  • Meal plans, a combination of Munch Money and block dinners, were revamped to ensure students always have something to eat.

  • New and expanded menus were created, using student feedback. Sono (Mexican fare) and G8 (allergy-friendly foods) were added at Dine 49 to meet customer demand.

During fall semester, students will see several changes in multiple locations in response to feedback. Feel free to reach out to Chartwells' team members should you have any questions or feedback about any of the food or service.
