New ACEP deputy director for operations

The Alaska Center for Energy and Power has named Jennifer Harris as the new deputy director of operations. Harris most recently served as the executive officer in the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences.
In her new position, she will provide oversight of the daily operations, including supervision and management of financial, human resources and administrative activities associated with ACEP.
Harris has been teaching as an adjunct professor in the applied business and allied health programs at the Community and Technical College since 2013 and is a member of the UAF Process Improvement and Training Crew. She has served in various administrative and finance positions at UAF and the University of Alaska over the past 18 years.
She and her husband, Thomas, are raising their three children and three dogs in a home they built in Two Rivers, and are significantly outnumbered.
