Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is Nov. 11-17. The Nanook Diversity and Action Center is hosting two "food-raisers" for the Wood Center food pantry.

  • Food Pantry Pub Trivia on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 8-10 p.m., the Pub. Bring five nonperishable, unexpired food items to enter your team that night. Must be 21 or older.

  • Food Pantry Bingo on Thursday, Nov. 15, 8-10 p.m., the Pub. One nonperishable, unexpired item will get you one bingo card. The more food you donate, the more cards you get, the better your chance at winning! Must be 21 or older.

NDAC will host two free screenings of the "Black Panther" during the week of PopCon.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 7, 8 p.m., Wood Center ballroom. Open to all students and employees.

Setup starts at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the event. There is room for 12 teams this year. The event is sponsored by the Nanook Diversity and Action Center, and all of the proceeds will go to the United Way of Tanana Valley. Power outlets will be provided. Come prepared with two pots of cooked chili in their slow cookers, toppings, other supplies, etc. Sign up on OrgSync. Sign-ups close Nov. 2 at 5 p.m.

NDAC's Paint Nite fundraiser for the Interior AIDS Association is Friday, Nov. 30, from 6-8 p.m. in the Pub. More information on how to buy tickets is on OrgSync. This event is open to those 21 and older.
