National Suicide Prevention Week at UAF

During National Suicide Prevention Week, Sept. 6-12, the UAF community can learn to
destigmatize mental health concerns, engage in prevention awareness, discover campus
support resources, and participate in education and conversations about offering hope.The Nanook Diversity and Action Center has created a week full of events, trainings and campaigns for all students, staff and faculty to engage in suicide prevention.
Sept. 8:
- #StopTheStigma Day
- Free NSPW merchandise
- Self-Care Planning Workshop
Sept. 9:
- #PromoteYourPin Day
- "It's Real: College Students and Mental Health" (Two events — one for faculty/staff and one for students)
Sept. 10:
- World Suicide Prevention Day
- QPR Suicide Prevention Training

- #SpotTheSigns Campaign
