Nanook Diversity and Action Center: October events

The Nanook Diversity and Action Center is hosting the following events this month:

Oct. 4. — Join us during LGBTQ+ History Month at our screening of "The Freedom to Marry" at 7 p.m. in Arctic Java. "The Freedom to Marry" is a documentary chronicling the civil rights campaign to legalize same-sex marriage.

Oct. 9 — Queer Trivia in The Pub. Come have fun and test your LGBTQ+ knowledge with us! This public event is for adults 21 years and older. The cost is $5 per team.

Oct. 12 — It's Pride Night at The Pub! From 9 p.m.-midnight there will be a DJ, dancing and door prizes! This public event is for adults 21 years and older.

And at the end of the month we'll be holding our LGBTie-Dye Night at Hess Rec in MBS. It'll be a fun night of rainbow-themed tie-dye; materials will be first come, first served. Open to all UAF students and employees! Further details and date are TBA, but you can keep up to date on NDAC's OrgSync!
