More library study area hours; showers remain closed

April 6, 2020

Tori Tragis

Over the course of the weekend, feedback was received around the limited access to the Rasmuson Library’s study area space. Based on the feedback, the hours will be extended to Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please remember to observe social distancing and the limitation of no more than 10 people in the computer lab space at one time. The space is actively monitored, and university community service officers will be enforcing these practices.

Additional inquiries have also surfaced around campus shower access. At this time, in order to protect the safety of staff, faculty and students, as well as to comply with UAF’s understanding of the state health mandates, shower facilities will remain closed and locked. UAF will continue to monitor and evaluate this as the curve flattens and guidance is released from the State of Alaska and the Department of Health and Social Services.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate the changing landscape of COVID-19.
