Military, veteran honor cords

April 23, 2018

University Relations

Active duty military, veterans and Gold Star Family graduates are invited to wear the veteran's honor cord with their regalia (cap and gown) at commencement.  The veteran's honor cord represents the service to country demonstrated by military members and their families.

Students can pick up their cord at the Financial Aid Office, Eielson 107, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, May 4, or on the day of commencement, May 5, upstairs at the Carlson Center.

Current active duty military degree candidates may wear their uniforms in lieu of a cap and gown at Commencement. However, military regulations prohibit wearing academic regalia, such as honors cords, with the uniform.
