Martha Mason designated interim chief IT officer for UA

Martha Mason has been designated as the interim chief IT officer for the Office of Information Technology following the resignation of Karl Kowalski. Mason’s career spans years in private industry and more than 20 years at the university, first supporting research at the Alaska Satellite Facility, and later serving students, faculty and staff through progressive posts within OIT. Mason is the UAF CIO and director of user services for OIT.

The University of Alaska will launch a recruitment for a permanent CITO in April and will  make its selection this summer. For more information email mjmason@alaska.edu.
