Lydia Anderson receives ACUI Emeritus Award

Lydia Anderson, director of Wood Center, received an Emeritus Award during the annual
conference of the Association of College Unions International. The award recognizes
college union and student activities professionals who are retiring.
Anderson recently announced her retirement. She started working at UAF in 1974 and
has a total of 39 years of service.
ACUI met in San Antonio, April 8–11, for its 2015 annual conference. It presented
more than 30 awards and scholarships to honor excellence in the college unions and
student activities profession, recognized contributions to the association, celebrated
writing and research, and provided professional development opportunities to recipients.
