Summer Sessions at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will host the new Music in the Garden series on various Thursdays throughout the summer at 7 p.m. in the UAF Georgeson Botanical Garden.

This five-event series, running through Aug. 9, features bands from the Fairbanks area. Bring a blanket, a picnic and some dancing shoes. Please leave pets at home. Parking will be available on West Ridge. A short walking path to the garden begins at the overlook and will be marked with signs. Concerts are free and open to the public, though the Georgeson Botanical Garden will accept donations. This series is also sponsored by KUAC, which will broadcast the June 7 and Aug. 9 concerts. Additional artists may be highlighted during the week of their performance on Alaska Live. The June 14 concert is sponsored by Kohler, Schmitt & Hutchison PC.
