Larry Hinzman, vice chancellor for research, will participate in a panel at the 21st Arctic Roundtable Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Blue Loon. The event begins at 6 p.m. with snacks at 5:30 p.m.

The changing climate has profound implications for 21st century people, infrastructure, and ecosystems in Alaska and beyond. But how do the latest scientific findings reach policy makers? Panelists Nikoosh Carlo, climate advisor to the governor, Luke Hopkins of the Climate Action Leadership Team, and Hinzman will discuss current science and ways it informs state policy. Conversation among panelists and the audience will follow.
