KUAC wins Edward R. Murrow regional awards

KUAC has won two Edward R. Murrow regional awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association.
KUAC’s 2013 Iditarod coverage won in the Best Continuing Coverage category, and “Spearfishing: A Lesson” won in the Best Feature Reporting category.
Regional award winners will advance to the national competition judged in May.
Murrow awards are among the highest honors in broadcast journalism.
These are the first regional awards KUAC has won from the RTDNA since 2007, when the station won three, in the categories of sports reporting, feature reporting and continuing coverage.
