KUAC hosts successful Downton Abbey fundraiser

KUAC hosted a sold-out premiere of "Downton Abbey" Sept. 17 at Regal Cinema. Sponsored by Cook, Schuhmann & Groseclose, the event was a fundraiser for the FM/TV public broadcasting station. Many attendees dressed in clothing appropriate for the late 1920s.

The costume contest winner was Marcella Hill for her portrayal of Mrs. Hughes, the abbey's head housekeeper. The film opened to the general public Friday.
