From Mae Marsh, Director of Diversity and Equal Opportunity

Have you ever felt you were treated differently or bullied in your working or learning environment? Board of Regents policy holds all university employees responsible for maintaining a positive working and learning environment, and states that supervisors and faculty must respond promptly to complaints of discrimination.

Discrimination occurs when you are treated differently or harassed based on one of the following protected categories:

  • race

  • color

  • national origin

  • sex

  • religion

  • disability

  • age

  • genetics

  • retaliation (e.g., for opposing discrimination, filing a complaint or participating in a discrimination complaint)

  • sexual orientation

If you would like to participate in a discussion group regarding your civil rights, please sign up here.
