Julie Lougee named Special Education Teacher of the Year

Julie Lougee was named the 2017 Special Education Teacher of the Year by the Alaska Council for Exceptional Children. Lougee is an adjunct assistant professor of special education in the School of Education and a special education teacher with the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.

Joanne Healy presented the award to Lougee at the state council's annual conference in February 2018. Healy is an SOE assistant professor of special education and a council representative.
