Nine education students and their professor from Hakkaido University are visiting Fairbanks Sept. 11 – Sept. 23. They plan to visit several area elementary schools, where they will perform a traditional dance using Japanese drums, teach origami and observe classes. The Hokkaido university students usually perform in their traditional Ina clothing.

They will also visit Chisato Murakami and David Henry's Japanese UAF classes and participate in an elementary methods class with current elementary teacher education interns.
