Hands-on programs at the University of Alaska Museum of the North during the month of January will allow participants to explore sculpture.

The Creativity Lab will have open drop-in activities for all ages on Friday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities will include sculpting, painting, drawing, and other arts and crafts.

The Early Explorers program for families with children 5 and under will take place each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. There is no Early Explorers program on Jan. 4. On Saturday, Jan. 19, the Junior Curators program, which is open to children 6 and older, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m.

These activities are included with admission and are free for museum members. For more information about the museum’s programs and events, visit the website at www.uaf.edu/museum/ or call 907-474-7505.
