Faculty who want to become more dynamic and effective teachers, incorporate meaningful web tools into an existing course, or to teach online should apply for the upcoming iTeach workshop.

iTeach is a hands-on workshop tailored to help UAF faculty, instructors, lecturers and TAs improve upon a range of activities, including gathering and managing research, creating effective course schedules, and building and managing online learning communities.

The next workshops are Oct. 20, 22, 27 and 29. iTeach is free. Attendees will receive a screencasting kit in addition to the know-how needed to implement the tools into their classrooms (online or face-to-face). Apply http://elearning.uaf.edu/go/iteach.

iTeach is offered once a semester by the instructional design team at UAF eLearning & Distance Education. The instructional designers have experience teaching traditional face-to-face and online courses and know how difficult it is to teach in today’s post-secondary institutions. They come from diverse disciplines and have extensive technical expertise. The skills taught by the team during iTeach will help faculty create pedagogically sound face-to-face or online courses that are fun, have academic integrity and meet UAF’s academic guidelines.
