Inventors' Forum to feature software expert

The Office of Intellectual Property and Commercialization will host an Inventors' Forum on March 27, 2015, at 3 p.m. in the International Arctic Research Center, 401 Akasofu Building. The forum topic is "Software as a Service Primer: Exploring New Models for Accelerating Business Growth."

Guest speaker Brian Giesel, CEO and founder of Geisel Software Inc., will join via Skype. Geisel Software is an award-winning firm that develops mobile apps, Web apps and embedded software.

Since his company's launch, Giesel has crafted software for international trading companies, gaming studios and even robots. He is a critically lauded developer, entrepreneur and expert in global software. Fluent in Spanish with world-class experience creating multilingual Web and mobile apps, he has taught seminars and given talks on everything from programming languages to assembling offshore teams. Known for his dedication and creative approach to software engineering, Geisel played an instrumental role on one of only two committees in the world that develops Small Computer System Interface specifications and Fibre Channel Protocols.
