Intermittent telephone outages

Telephone utilities is in the process of replacing outdated cable that is failing and causing phone troubles.
Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 19, there may be intermittent phone outages for university
buildings on and off campus who do not already have the VOIP phones in place. In most
cases users will not be affected other than a minute in the system, however, these
outages will include the following:
- fire alarms
- instrument panels and controls,
- elevator phones,
- emergency phones,
- emergency sensors,
- earthquake dialers,
- auto dialers,
- copper wire communications, and
- fax lines.
Off-campus buildings include:
- CTC Hangar
- West Valley Plaza
- Harper
- Bowers building
- 590 University Ave.
