Installation of test light fixtures on Yukon Drive

The Department of Transportation is testing new LED technology, and together with a private consultant and UAF Facilities Services engineers, will select fixtures for installation on our campus streets next summer. The goal of the overall project is to reduce illumination system energy and maintenance costs as well as improve current campus lighting. Yukon Drive was selected as a convenient location to test these fixtures. The newly installed fixtures are not permanent.
