Gwen Holdmann to present at Commonwealth North energy policy event

Gwen Holdmann, director of the Alaska Center for Energy and Power, will present to the Energy Policy Study Group on Friday, Feb. 26, at noon to discuss the research efforts to bring cost-effective energy solutions to rural Alaska.

Commonwealth North is a nonpartisan organization whose mission is to educate Alaskans on significant public policy issues and assist in identifying effective solutions.

ACEP excels at being responsive to immediate and long-term needs of residents, industries and agencies. It focuses on research related power generation, electricity transmission, and heating and transportation fuels on a community and industry-scale. ACEP prioritizes its work on areas where Alaska has specific needs or where Alaska has a strategic advantage due to resource availability, unique circumstances or location.
