Green bikes winter fleet ready to hit the road

The UAF Green Bikes winter fleet ready to check out to students. We have 20 bikes to release Saturday,
Jan. 26, at noon. The event will take place at the Nordic House. The return date for
this session is the March 8 at 4 p.m. The winter fleet bikes are equipped with studded
tires, front and rear lights, and large handlebar gloves (called pogies).Demand is high for these free bikes so it's first-come, first-served.
- Bring your PolarExpress card as proof that you’re a student
- Be prepared to make a $500 deposit (through credit/debit (not charged), check, or cash)
- Bring a well-fitting helmet or buy one through Outdoor Adventures for $35. We have a very limited supply. If you need a helmet, you'll want to buy one before coming to the event.
- Fill out the necessary paperwork and read over the rental terms.
If you have your own bike and need help fixing it, we also have mechanic office hours. Check our website for more information.
