flyer contains same basic info as announcementThe Graduate School invites graduate students to participate in a focus group on creative communication from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 15.

The increasing emphasis on interdisciplinary research in cross-cultural contexts has seen universities developing programs that bring students together from arts, business, engineering, humanities, and sciences to reflect on how they communicate their work and how perspectives from different disciplines enhance communication and understanding of the work. The graduate school is exploring ways to develop such programs at UAF. Whether you want to dance your Ph.D. or present it in a three-minute slam poem, the Graduate School would like to hear from you.

To facilitate the discussion, Professor Mary Beth Leigh will share her experience working with her students in arts, humanities and sciences before opening for general discussion.

All participants will receive a $10 gift card to the UAF Bookstore, and there will be additional door prizes.

Register in advance for this meeting. For more information, email Felicia Burud at fjburud@alaska.edu.
