June 3, 2015

Carla Browning

Gov. Bill Walker and Lt. Gov. Byron Mallott will host a discussion of the state budget, Building a Sustainable Future: Conversations with Alaskans, from Friday, June 5, through Sunday, June 7, at UAF.

The event will feature presentations and discussions about what Alaskans want government to provide and how Alaskans want to pay for it.

Walker and Mallott hope participants, who come from across the state, will return to their own communities to host more discussions.

Sessions will take place in the Wood Center and the Gruening Building.

The event is open to the public. Those outside Fairbanks will be able to watch it live online or on ARCS and 360North TV. Information about the event, access to live web streaming, and presentations will be posted to gov.alaska.gov/sustainablefuture. A schedule for the weekend is now available on the site.
