Get green certified

The Office of Sustainability now offers green certification for University of Alaska
Fairbanks departments. Certification recognizes departments that have taken extra
steps to have greener operations and lower their environmental footprints.
The program identifies a set of conditions and actions – some optional and some required
– that can make departments eligible for certification. Certification is contingent
on documenting all five of the required prerequisite criteria and a specified number
of the total optional criteria. Certification is good for two years and departments
can achieve bronze, gold or green certification. Departments that qualify are awarded
certificates to display as well as permission to post the certification logo on their
websites.
