The Office of Admissions and the Registrar and the Academic Advising Center will offer several information sessions for faculty and staff to explain changes to the general education requirements in UAF's 2016-17 academic catalog.

Please encourage all staff and faculty advisors to attend a session so they can answer questions from incoming students. UAF requires that students complete 38-44 credits from a list of general education courses before receiving baccalaureate, associates of arts and associates of science degrees.

If you are outside of Fairbanks, videoconference training is available. RSVP to Ginny Kinne (vrkinne@alaska.edu or 474-1942) so the Office of Information Technology can set it up.

  • Monday, March 28, noon–1 p.m., Gruening 409

  • Friday, April 1, 10 a.m.–11 a.m., Duckering 252

  • Friday, April 1, 1 p.m.–2 p.m., Interior Alaska Campus media room (videoconference for advisors outside of Fairbanks only)
