Geist Road construction through July
June 1, 2011
The Geist Road detour is in effect until approximately June 8. Access to businesses
will be maintained on either side of the closure and the road is open for local traffic.
The College Post Office is accessible from both sides of Geist Road, but traffic will
not be permitted through the Fairbanks Street intersection. All traffic traveling
from Chena Pump Road to the Johansen Expressway must use the signed detour route.
Traffic traveling from the Johansen Expressway to the Parks Highway should use Airport
Way.
The bike path is open to pedestrian traffic.
