Gee Wiz Heart Walk Team will auction quilts

The Gee Wiz Heart Walk Team will auction off quilts to raise money for the American
Heart Association. All proceeds go to the UAF Geophysical Institute's team to reach its goal
of raising $10,000 for the American Heart and Stroke Association. Help spread the
word and pass this information along to your teammates.
Nettie La Belle-Hamer, director of the GI's Alaska Satellite Facility, made the beautiful
wall-hanging quilts using past Heart Walk shirts. The quilts are displayed in the
Geophysical Institute director's office in Elvey Building Room 601. The silent auction
is April 14–22.
