Free violin performance June 29

Several young violin artists will be featured in a free public concert accompanied
by the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra. The performance will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June
29, in Davis Concert Hall. Local violinist Jonathan Swank is one of the artists who
will be performing in the concert.
The Brian Lewis Young Artist Program is a tuition-free opportunity for 10 young musicians
to study with violinist Brian Lewis and Music Department faculty. The program is supported
by the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation and was brought to Fairbanks by Bryan Hall,
UAF string faculty member.
