University Relations

Students who are not up-to-date on the MMR vaccine series or who would like a booster shot can get one for free for a limited time. Go to the Student Health and Counseling Center during lab hours (see below) or to the MBS (Moore/Bartlett/Skarland) lobby on Thursday, March 8, from 5-7 p.m. to obtain the vaccine.

It is important to be up-to-date with this vaccine, especially since there has been an outbreak of mumps in Fairbanks recently.  Everyone who is deficient in the vaccine series should obtain the vaccine series ASAP.  If you are up-to-date and it has been at least five years since your last vaccine, we are offering a booster vaccine for free for a limited time. We recommend everyone who lives in campus housing to have this booster shot. Please come to the MBS outreach or to the health center during our lab hours below:

Monday, 8:30 a.m.-noon, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, 8:30 a.m.-noon, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
